BBS Indo Canadian School Hosts Workshop on Stress Management

BBS Indo Canadian School in Maluka recently held a workshop titled “Stress Management and Emotional Intelligence,” led by Pallavi Singh Sethi. The event attracted a strong turnout, with numerous teachers participating to learn practical strategies for managing stress and fostering better relationships with students.

Sethi focused on actionable techniques that educators can implement in their daily routines. Participants engaged in discussions about identifying personal stress triggers and employing coping mechanisms, such as mindfulness exercises and time management skills. The workshop emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence in the classroom, showcasing how understanding and managing one’s emotions can lead to a more supportive educational environment.

Feedback from attendees indicated that the session was beneficial in providing tools that can be applied both personally and professionally. Many teachers reported feeling more equipped to handle their own stress levels, which can, in turn, positively influence their interactions with students.

This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the need for mental health resources in educational settings, highlighting the role of teachers not only as educators but also as emotional supporters for their students.
