ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Citied Foundation organized a karaoke night at District Bar and Grill on Sunday afternoon to promote mental health awareness and raise funds for its Early Bird’s Social Development program. This event marks the second annual karaoke gathering aimed at fostering community spirit while addressing mental health issues.
Executive Director Ashton Lockhart highlighted the importance of the event, noting that it not only provided entertainment but also served a larger purpose. ‘Tonight has been amazing,’ Lockhart stated. ‘Watching people enjoy themselves while engaging in activities like singing and socializing demonstrates how these interactions contribute to mental health and wellness.’
