Riverdale Senior Services (RSS) is hosting a new in-person class focused on mental health applications. This beginner-level session is designed to help participants learn how to effectively utilize technology for mental health improvement.
Led by Tabitha Rosa, the RSS Tech Specialist and Digital Engagement Coordinator, the class is structured to provide hands-on guidance and practical skills. Participants will explore various mental health apps that can assist in managing stress, anxiety, and overall well-being.
The session aims to familiarize seniors with the digital tools available to them, enabling them to engage more fully with their mental health care. This initiative reflects a growing trend of integrating technology into wellness practices, particularly for older adults who may benefit from accessible mental health resources.
By the end of the class, participants should be able to identify and use at least three different mental health apps, understand their functionalities, and incorporate these tools into their daily routines. This approach not only promotes mental health awareness but also encourages tech literacy among seniors, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health management.
