OM1 adds 1 million patients to mental health network

OM1, a leader in real-world data and artificial intelligence for mental health, recently announced the addition of over one million patients to its specialty mental health network. This expansion makes OM1’s network the largest and most clinically comprehensive of its kind, enabling more robust real-world research and personalized care.

With the inclusion of these new patients, OM1 now monitors over six million individuals who are receiving care from psychiatrists and other mental health providers. This extensive dataset includes clinical notes and treatment histories, allowing for detailed analysis of mental health conditions and treatment outcomes.

Dr. Carl Marci, Chief Clinical Officer at OM1, emphasized the importance of large, longitudinal mental health cohorts. “Access to these extensive datasets allows us to uncover patterns that smaller groups often miss,” he stated. By utilizing advanced artificial intelligence, OM1 can analyze condition-specific data to provide a clearer picture of disease progression and treatment responses.

The expansion enhances OM1’s PremiOM™ datasets for major depressive disorder (MDD), schizophrenia (SCZ), and bipolar I disorder (BP1). These datasets are linked and include medical claims, curated outcomes, and both structured and unstructured clinical content. This comprehensive approach facilitates detailed research and accelerates the time to obtain actionable findings.

Key benefits of the expanded network include: – A substantial increase in patients with extensive clinical data and longitudinal follow-up, which supports more detailed subgroup analyses and robust real-world studies. – The application of validated AI models to unstructured clinical notes, enhancing the ability to extract key mental health metrics such as the PHQ-9 and CGI-I, alongside critical symptoms like anhedonia and suicidality. – Improved insights into treatment-resistant depression, a growing concern in mental health treatment.

Currently, less than one-third of psychiatric practices utilize measurement-based care, meaning that valuable data is often overlooked in clinical notes. OM1’s AI technology is designed to unlock these insights by analyzing millions of data points within its Real-World Data Cloud (RWDC), which contains information on over 350 million patients. This capability informs patient care and drives therapeutic innovation.

As the demand for accurate and representative mental health data continues to rise, OM1 is positioned to lead advancements in actionable research and improved treatment strategies in mental health care.
