Cleveland EMS promotes mental health support for responders

Cleveland EMS recognizes the importance of mental health care for first responders during EMS Week, which runs from May 18th. This annual event highlights the dedication of Emergency Medical Services providers and emphasizes their unique mental health challenges. To support these initiatives, Fire Dept. Coffee will donate $2 for every purchase made, and $5 for each shirt sold throughout May, with proceeds directed to the Cleveland Association of Rescue Employees. This funding aims to bolster mental health and wellness programs tailored for EMS personnel.

Additionally, Cleveland EMS is organizing a dodgeball fundraiser on June 21st to further engage the community and promote mental health awareness. This event aims to raise funds specifically for mental health initiatives within the EMS community. These efforts underscore the need for ongoing support and resources to address the mental health needs of those who serve on the front lines, ensuring they receive the care they need to continue their vital work.
