Curai Health, an artificial intelligence-driven virtual clinic, has teamed up with Rula Health, a behavioral health provider, to enhance access to mental health services for Curai patients. This partnership allows Curai patients to connect with Rula’s extensive network of over 15,000 licensed mental health providers, which spans more than 100 clinical specialties across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
Rula Health is partnered with most insurance companies, enabling patients to receive therapy through their insurance plans. Additionally, the platform provides cost estimates for out-of-pocket expenses, giving patients a clearer picture of their financial responsibilities before seeking care.
To ensure the best fit for patients, Rula’s platform matches individuals with providers based on their personal preferences, backgrounds, and specific needs. Dr. Davis Liu, chief medical officer of Curai Health, emphasized the importance of integrating mental healthcare into primary care. He stated, “Partnering with Rula provides Curai patients with high-quality mental healthcare so they can receive the coordinated, whole-person care everyone deserves.”
Josh Bruno, co-founder and CEO of Rula Health, highlighted that this collaboration aligns with their mission to increase accessibility to mental health services across the nation. He noted, “This partnership is a natural extension of our mission to make mental healthcare more reachable for more people across the country.”
The partnership comes on the heels of Curai’s other initiatives aimed at expanding healthcare access. In February, Curai Health collaborated with UMass Chan Medical School for a study comparing at-home antigen and molecular tests with lab PCR tests for detecting COVID-19 and influenza variants. This study, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), allows adults who test positive for these viruses to access free virtual care through Curai’s platform.
In 2024, Curai Health also joined forces with Rightway, a healthcare navigation and pharmacy benefits platform, enabling Rightway’s members to access Curai’s virtual care offerings 24/7 via the Rightway app. In the same year, Curai partnered with Tufts Medical Center to improve virtual care access in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, incorporating Curai’s services into the MyTuftsMed patient portal for greater convenience.
Additionally, Rula Health announced that its network of over 10,000 mental health providers would be available to Amazon customers through Amazon’s Health Conditions Programs. This initiative aims to simplify access to covered mental health services, allowing users to connect with providers quickly and efficiently.
Overall, the collaboration between Rula Health and Curai Health marks a significant step in making mental health services more accessible to a broader population, ensuring that patients receive the care they need when they need it.
