Free Doc Talk Discusses ADHD Links to Digital Media Use

On Thursday, June 5, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, Emmanuel Melonakos, MD, will lead a free Doc Talk focusing on the relationship between digital media use and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children. This discussion aims to inform parents about research that suggests a connection between screen time and the development or exacerbation of ADHD symptoms.

Dr. Melonakos, an experienced pediatrician, earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He also holds a Master’s Degree from Holy Cross and Boston College, specializing in Medical Ethics. His residency in Pediatrics was completed at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit.

During the event, parents will learn practical strategies to support their children’s development in an age dominated by multimedia. The talk will cover how parents can help mitigate ADHD symptoms through mindful media use, effective communication, and fostering healthy habits.
